Pate (pronounced Pa-TAY): French food made from meats, vegetables or seafood combined with spices, wines or liquor and other ingredients such as truffles, pistachios, or wild mushrooms.
- Pâté: Coarse texture, Sliceable
- Mousse: Smooth, Creamy, Spreadable
- Terrine: Light, Spreadable, Non-meat
(Q) How long can I keep the pâté in my fridge once open?
7 to 10 days. Wrap it tight with plastic wrap and keep refrigerated.
